Terms & Conditions

Confidentiality of information shared

All information you share during the session will be kept confidential and secure. This means that it will not be shared by the counsellor to any person or body. There are, however, certain instances when confidentiality will be broken. These are:

1.      If you request that details of the session be shared with another person or body. This will only be undertaken after receiving written permission from you

2.      If the counsellor feels that you are likely to harm yourself.

3.      If the counsellor feels that you are likely to harm another person(s)

4.      If disclosure is required by law. If this is the case, details revealed will only be in relation to the questions asked by the court, and will be done with your knowledge.

Maintaining Records

As part of the therapeutic process, the therapist will keep written records of each session in order to ensure that there is clarity and progress as the sessions continue. These records will not be accessible to any individual other than the therapist and the client.

Duration and Scheduling of Sessions

Therapy sessions typically last 55 to 60 minutes for individual sessions, and 60 to 90 minutes for group and couples sessions. Sessions are scheduled based on the availability of the therapist and the convenience of the client. The frequency of sessions will be discussed and decided upon by the client and the therapist based on the needs and challenges expressed by the client. With relation to technology assisted counselling, the therapist will send a link before the session, and the session will be conducted using a medium that is comfortable for the client.

Communication between client and therapist

The client may contact the therapist between 10 AM and 7 PM via  the provided phone number or email to schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments. As the therapists may be engaged in other sessions, they may not respond immediately. Clients are encouraged to leave a message, and the therapist will contact them when they are free. Therapists may not engage with clients on personal social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn and other personal social media accounts. This includes responding to messages and accepting Follow/Friend requests. Communication with the therapist will be through professional mediums only.
